In 2006, thanks to grant funding from Awards for All, Local Network Fund and the  Big Lottery's Young People's Fund View to Learning established the Youth Utopia Performing Arts project, based at The Park Local Opportunity Centre in the priority regeneration area of Knowle West in Bristol.

Youth Utopia is a programme of music, dance, circus and drama for the young people of Knowle West aged 11+ and is a dynamic and evolving process where the participants themselves are part of establishing and growing a community based performing arts company.   Youth Utopia has collaborated with the Angels Dance Academy, Positive Futures, Project X, Hengrove Community Arts College and the Extended Schools Partnership programme in the South 2 region.

The Stepping Up project, funded by the Local Network Fund, extended access to these activities into the Primary schools of Knowle West for children at Key Stage 2 in transition from Primary to Secondary education.  Funding for Stepping Up has now been completed.
